=== Go Through this Checklist If you are Having Trouble === The most common upgrade issue seems to be the lingering presence of Version 6.5. The installer had to do some maneuvering to save your work from the previous version, and depending on your installation and configuration it may have been unable to fire up the uninstaller for Version 6.5, or you may have inadvertently declined the uninstall request when it was made, not knowing what it was. If so, the shortcut (desktop icon) might be pointing to the wrong version of the software. Right click the NSB icon, then select "Properties" from the popup menu. The target should end with "Nostalgia Sim Baseball V7\nsb.exe" If not, then you are loading up the older version, which ends at Build 213. If you installed V7.0 and get a "registry entry missing" message when accessing leagues, you should uninstall your leagues and reinstall them. Something happened in the set of steps you took that left you with missing registry "handles" for your leagues. If this works, you're done! Don't take any of the steps below. Otherwise, here are some more steps you can take: 1. ''Make sure Version 6.5 is uninstalled.'' To do this, go to Windows "Settings" (you can type "Settings" in the Windows search bar) and Select "Apps." Look at the list and make sure that ONLY Nostalgia Sim Baseball 7 is installed. If earlier versions are on the list, uninstall them. This is a good time to check your MySQL Driver, too. In the same App list, verify that MySQL Connector/ODBC 8.0 is installed (Minimum Version 8.0.23) as well as well as Microsoft C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable. These are essential for running our software. Note: You can manually uninstall V6 by (a) removing the Folder '''C:\Program Files\Nostalgia Sim Baseball V6''' or '''C:\Program Files(x86)\Nostalgia Sim Baseball V6''' and (b) removing the Nostalgia Sim Baseball folder in your Data Directory. The data directory folder will look something like this: '''C:\Users\Craig\AppData\Roaming\Nostalgia Sim Baseball'''. DO NOT REMOVE THE FOLDER 'Nostalgia Sim Baseball V7' if it's there! Note: Windows will require you to have administrator status to remove a folder from the Program Files Directory. 2. ''Restart your PC, then run the Version 7 Clean Installation File'' you obtained from the website (https://www.nostalgiabaseball.com/resources/software). Upon a successful installation it's normal to see yourself as "Guestxxxx." That simply means the registry entries that identify you have been cleared out by the installer. These entries will be re-inscribed when you install your leagues. You should see Build 1:1:1:1:1 atop the V7 Launch Window. If you see anything else, it's evidence that Version 6 has not been removed from your machine. 3. Inside the software, ''Click INSTALL my EXISTING LEAGUES'' from the Launch Window. Then select the "Get My Code" button and enter the email address you used when you registered at our website. A match will automatically retrieve your install code. You can then install your leagues.
